5 - 10 Hampton Cottages

Cottages 5 - 10 were built in 1932 using funds left in his will by William Brittain-Jones of Ashgrove, Knockholt in 1912.  Why 20 years elapsed between the construction of 1 - 4 and 5 - 10 is an open question but we believe it was related to the need for the executors of the will to find and agree the purchase of a suitable parcel of land.

Cottages 5 - 10 were built by Frank Bond, a Knockholt based local builder.
Bond Close, Knockholt was named in memory of the Bond family.
